Before the virus that must not be named hit us all and disrupted our lives I would get my nails done religiously every two weeks and my grey roots would barely be allowed to see the light of day before my hairdresser painted them away every four weeks. So during the last year I have left my nails alone and coloured my own hair more often than a hairdresser touched it. Only twice actually but that would have been unheard of in previous years!
So today for the first time in 14 months I went to visit my nail girl at her home and she performed a much needed Shellac Miracle, I mean manicure π I spent the last week checking out nails on Instagram and online to get inspo for my chosen nail colour. I decided in the end to go for a deep dark colour as I personally really like dark colours on short nails which mine are. I don’t know how anyone manages with long nails?! I keep mine short all the time and I still find myself apologising to my kids for accidentally scratching them when pulling their school jumpers over their heads…
Next week I have an appointment with my hairdresser. I currently have a grown out bob. Its at that length, you know the length I mean… too short to be shoulder length and too long to be classed as a bob. It is quite dark not including those roots and as the sun is starting to show itself over here in the UK I am starting to think more and more about going lighter again. I also wonder if grey roots are less troublesome on lighter hair? Anyone know the answer to that please let me know.
So as life sloooowly starts to feel abit more ‘normal’ what are you looking forward to doing?? Let me know.
As always thank you for reading. Take care.
