Back To Basics

Every now and again I buy a new skincare product because of the hype around it or because an influencer has been paid to say it’s their favourite product ever and yes I am 41 years old and still falling for it! I managed to get my hands on a travel size of Charlotte Tilbury Night Cream. It’s gorgeous by the way, it is so thick and balm like and melts into your skin like a dream.

I then decided that at the same time as adding this into my routine I would also start using the Medik8 Lipid Balancing Oil cleanser with a hot cloth in the evenings. I can’t say for sure which one is breaking me out but one is doing just that. I have to say that I am occasionally tempted away from my Dr Sam cleanser but I always come back with my tail between my legs… I really want to be one of those skincare experts that double cleanses every evening with a warm flannel to clear your pores and lightly exfoliate but I am always bitterly disappointed. I nearly always break out when I do start doing it.

My nightly routine has been for the last week, Medik8 cleanser as mentioned above, L’Oreal Revitalift Eye Cream, Skin+Me personalised Tretinoin cream and CT night cream. But as of Monday evening this week I am taking it back to basics. I am returning to my trusty Dr Sam’s Flawless cleanser, L’Oreal eye cream, Skin+Me and finished up with Dr Sam’s Flawless Moisturiser.

Hopefully this will clear up some of these breakouts and get me back to clearer skin so I can see the benefits of my Skin+Me cream. I am going to use it for a couple of months and then take some after pictures and do a review on it. Here’s hoping it gets a full 5 ⭐️!!

I hope you are enjoying happy skin days.
