Recent Empties

I find other peoples Empties posts really quite interesting so I am hoping you will enjoy mine. I had run out and already repurchased the first product in my list and it got me thinking that I have a few other product bottles waiting to be recycled. In fact I realised I have 8 products empty at the moment which is quite unheard of for me. I generally start a product and even if I like it, I get side tracked by a new one before I get a chance to finish the first.

So the first product in my list is La Roche Posay Hyalu B5 Serum, I finished it yesterday and immediately ordered a new one from lookfantastic as it is my favourite hyaluronic acid serum at the moment. I can honestly say it does give a plumpness and glow when used under my next empty, the Obagi Hydrate moisturiser which I also ordered at the same time from lookfantastic I had no idea until I searched on the site that they now stock Obagi but i’m really pleased they do as I am always impressed by their quick delivery. I have absolutely zero patience and when I order something online I want it right away and Look Fantastic have never let me down.

I have included La Roche Posay Anthelios 50+ Hydrating Cream in my empties although I could probably squeeze one more day out of it. I have a new one already in the cupboard as this is my favourite SPF. It is quite rich, possibly too rich for some but I love that it makes my skin so soft, hydrated and dewy whilst protecting me from too much UV exposure.

I have two empty night time products which are Garnier Micellar water and Paulas Choice 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant. I like the Garnier and have used it as an eye make up remover for years but I have decided to try the Bioderma Micellar Water that everyone raves about. I will repurchase the Paulas Choice as long as I can find the stock. This stuff works! But because it works it sells out and is sometimes hard to get hold of so wish me luck…

I had the small sizes of the Olaplex No 4 Shampoo and No 5 Conditioner. I ran out of the conditioner before the shampoo. Does everyone else do that?? I always use them together but I always run out of conditioner before shampoo… it’s a mystery. So the conditioner bottle has already gone to be recycled and I bought the full size of both from my hairdressers ready to use once the shampoo ran out. I do really rate Olaplex. I can see my hair is stronger, I have more blonde in now so I feel I need the help to maintain a good condition and I really think this does help. I have also used the last drop of L’Oreal Mythic Oil. I like this and would repurchase but I changed hairdressers recently which is where I used to buy this so I thought I would have a change and bought the Kerastase Elixir Ultime instead.

The last product to mention is the ludicrously expensive Augustinus Bader Body Lotion. I want to tell you I loved it. I want to tell you I would buy it again. But I can’t. The lotion itself was nice. But for the price of £75 for 100mI need more than nice. My main issue was the packaging. That pump bottle may be hygienic but it was awful to use. It only pumped the tiniest amount at a time so would need about 4 pumps for just one lower leg so I got through it in absolutely no time and also the fact I have added it to my empties list is frustrating because it is a well sealed glass bottle you wouldn’t know if it was even actually empty at all.

I wonder if you have liked or disliked any of the products I mentioned here. I would love to know.
