My Weekly Gratitude List – 10/04/23

Every Monday I am going to write down ten things that have happened during the last week that I am extremely grateful for, that made me smile or laugh and I hope it inspires you to make your own gratitude list.

  • This week I decided to start selling on Vinted, I made an account and took photos of Millers outfits that he has outgrown and then I added two cute Mori Rompers to sell. I started with just two items to see how long they took to sell and they both sold in less than 48 hours. I am grateful for how easy they make it to sell and send your items and am looking forward to the extra cash it could bring in.
  • I am grateful for the Easter Holidays so that not only do I get to spend more time with my big boys but also that the mornings are slow and chilled with no where to rush off to.
  • I finally started listening to ‘Confessions of a Forty Something F**k Up’ by Alexandra Potter on Audible and so far I am loving it.
  • I have discovered a podcast called ‘Write Off’ with Francesca Steele. My goodness I am obsessed. I have done a lot of driving (in my car which I am also grateful for) the last couple of days so I have been listening while driving and I have found it more interesting and inspiring than I thought I would. It is basically interviews with published authors who talk about how they started out writing and how they deal with the inevitable rejection that comes with writing novels. It’s fascinating stuff.
  • Good Friday spent with my family. We visited my brother at his new home and went to Prezzo for lunch. The sun shone and it was a lovely day. One highlight included making Easter chocolate nests using Crunchy Nut Cornflakes. Who could not be grateful for such delicious chocolate treats??
  • I treated myself to a new notebook. It is pink and has little pictures of Bees all over the cover and it says in silver foil ‘Bee Kind’. My sister who has a phobia of bees and wasps would hate it but I love it. Sorry sis 😉
  • I had a little morning this week spent only with the twins. We went to McDonalds for breakfast and they played in the small softplay, they absolutely love it. They are growing up fast but are still young enough to enjoy climbing and going down the slide.
  • The bouncy castle at my friends house. They could not have had more fun jumping and falling and sliding around. Oh and the easter egg hunt she prepared for them, my heart could burst watching them running around searching for chocolate eggs and sweets. Next year Miller will be running around with them and I can’t wait to see that!
  • Argos. I ordered a present for Miller who turns one next week and it arrived same day. I didn’t even need it that quickly but there is something so thrilling in ordering an item online and it being in your hands within 4 or 5 hours that really makes me happy!
  • A beautiful morning spent at RHS Garden Hyde Hall in Chelmsford, Essex. It was our first visit and it won’t be the last. The gardens were beautiful, the playground was brilliant and the Lemon Drizzle was just right.
